I have always loved painting but had thought of it as a hobby rather than an ‘occupation’.

Lisa is an ex nutrition scientist/researcher/author who is now living her dream; creating beautiful oil paintings. Currently living in Melbourne Victoria, Lisa lives on a mini farm with her husband and two dogs, several cats and chickens.

After studying at the Milan Art Institute, Lisa was surprised to find herself irresistibly drawn to painting faces, and she realised that her true passion lay in capturing the essence of human expression, starting always with the eyes because the eyes are indeed the 'window to the soul.' She believes that once she can see the soul of her subject through their eyes, the rest of the painting flows naturally and effortlessly. This intimate approach allows her to infuse her portraits with a a sense of life and presence. Lisa's artistic style is a blend of whimsical and surreal elements, seamlessly intertwined with touches of realism.

Lisa's fascination with whimsical and surreal themes stems from her desire to explore the boundaries of imagination and reality. Her paintings are not just visual representations but are imbued with stories and emotions that invite viewers to embark on a journey of discovery.
